How do u get rid of squirrels??

I have so many squirrels in the complex I live in. They're becoming a nuisance, especially with my flower pots. I don't want to kill them, just deter them from digging and eating my plants. Any suggestions?How do u get rid of squirrels??
SERIOUSLY....Sprinkle some Cayenne Red Pepper powder into your potted plants.(Available in small shaker containers at ANY Food Store..Works better than Black Pepper and will not harm your PLANTS!) The Squirrels don't like it, and it will stick to their feet.They will then try and lick it off , THEY WON'T LIKE THE TASTE!and they will run off avoiding your plants in the future. Doesn't harm them but works effectively to keep them away. I swear.This works.........How do u get rid of squirrels??

No...there was a commercial one time on the television about that, actually. I think it was for OSH. So maybe if you go to OSH and ask them, they can help you. (Or possibly any other garden supply store: Home Depot, Lows, etc.)
Just let them have your nuts.
shoot them with a paintball gun it will cause them enough pain to leave but will not be permantly injured...and at risk from not getting best answer....and a good pun ';shoot them in the nuts
Just feed them well away from your pots. A few nuts every day will do. You can train all rodents - with food as the incentive. Lab rats are easy - they will kiss **** for a bit of chocolate!
Spray them with water when they're near your flower pots.

I love them darlings. Best you just shoo them away time to time. They might get the point.
If you have a bird feeder, take it out. The squirrels LOVE bird seed.

You should get professionals to come out and take them away.
These pesky little buggers are a nuisance... water deters only momentarily, pepper makes me sneeze and poisoning them is out of the question.





The most humane way is get a small contraption they call a 'live trap' and bait it with nuts, bread and ears of dried corn ... all the goodies they love to eat. When they go inside the door drops shut on them trapping them inside the cage. Then throw the cage in your truck or trunk and do an animal 'witness relocation' thing on them. Drive out to some nice woods in the country or a park and release them. It may take a little longer to get all of them, but it does the trick. The tree rats are gone, your plants are in tact and your karma is good shape for not killing another living thing.
Coyote urine...don't laugh, you can get it at a feed store, Agway or similar. So far nobody's figured out how the guy collects it.

You can't deter them, They may look cute but their tree rats.





I recommend a .22 air rifle. A 12 gauge shotgun is definitely overkill and does unnecessary damage to the building..

I had this happen at this time last year. Darn things were digging in my pots to bury the pecans. I used some Black pepper. I bought the large size at Sam's....sprinkled a heavy dose on top of dirt in pots....you need to repeat every 2 weeks. The pepper does not hurt your plants.
