Ahh .. you have the famous Gaay Squirrels living in your backyard .. what a treat! Squirrels eat peels. I suspect it's that mean old lady neighbour of yours. She's left it as some sort of coded message that you need to discover.
Just be thankful it wasn't a banana peel. You could have tripped harder, you know ;-)
