Did Huckabee admitting he used to eat diseased rodents like squirrels make him more popular?

I don't understand who he wanted to appeal to.Did Huckabee admitting he used to eat diseased rodents like squirrels make him more popular?
With a name like ';Huckabee'; you've got to eat squirrel.Did Huckabee admitting he used to eat diseased rodents like squirrels make him more popular?
It's a cultural thing. There many people in rural and southern parts of the country who wouldn't think twice about someone eating squirrel or gopher while someone from New York or LA would be grossed out.
if you don't understand by now,you may as well throw in your hat.
'Kuntry' attempt @ being a 'common man', which, oddly enough, I think he is. He's having to learn to be normal DC-style.

Doesn't make him better, but it is refreshing to hear someone who doesn't 'speak the language'...
It worked for ozzy so why not huckabee?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That is the funniest thing I've heard in a while.

In regards to what demographic he was appealing to I have no idea. I think it's just a part of his personality which might be the only slightly electable thing about him.
There is something seriously wrong with him. He's scary.
he would have made more points had he said beaver
There has never been a documented case of rabies found in squirrels.

If this is the best you can come up with, perhaps you should remain silent so as not to appear silly.
Yeah he wanted to get midgets angry, so he could clone them into an army and attack Persia.
Squirrels are good for eating. Lots of people eat them.

I don't think he ever said that he ate diseased rodents.

I think you made up the diseased part.
who said they were diseased?
He said he ate a squirrel, not a diseased squirrel. Many people in the South ate them during the depression when no other meat was available.Lots of people in the West ate rabbits during that time too for the same reason. Granted, it's not a popular choice now but meat is meat.
